*SnOwFlAkEs*

Gibson played in his first "real" snow yesterday and had an absolute blast. Gerod and I loved watching Gibson's face seeing the white stuff fall from the sky. He seemed completely amazed and the whole experience was completely priceless! We didn't stay outside for too long but we did go out two times. We may have to let Chad see it today if we can get him in warm enough clothing!
I absolutely LOVE this smile!!

Look what I can do!

Chad is learning to sit up all by himself. He still teeters and totters a bit and occasionally falls over in a sort of slow motion graceful way, but he will sit up on his own for small periods. I cant believe he is getting so big so quick!
He can also grab is little toes...
and put them in his mouth!
Oh I am so proud! ;)

A little bit of tummy time!

This baby boys arms must be getting sore from all the tummy time he is doing. He is so big I am sure its hard for him to hold up all that weight! I weighed him at home the other day and also attempted to measure him. Going on approximations he is 21 pounds and 27 inches, which would put him in the 95th percentile for weight and the 75th percentile for height. I think we have a linebacker on our hands!

Sweet Love from Bug

Daddy and Chad working on the computer
Getting sweet love from Bug!
Love these sweet looks he gives us!
Smiling for the camera... and Mommy!

What happens when a 2 year old misses their nap?

Things start off pretty good... happy mood and all smiles... Then the melt downs begin...
Then they just give up and let sleep take over...
Sweet boy didn't even eat dinner! He was SO tired!
Love him!!

Honey... We've got a climber!

Gibson's newest thing is climbing on top of the TV cabinet. On some occasions I actually find him standing on the cabinet, because obviously that is the best place to view cartoons. He cracks me up! He has become our little climber... I knew the day would come. The other day I noticed Chad's video monitor start moving and since Chad for one cant stand, and for two was in the living room with me, I wondered what supernatural being could be moving the camera. No supernatural at all... just Gibson. He climbed into Chad's crib and was playing Handy Manny with the camera. He is all over the place! We have to keep our eyes on this big boy ALL THE TIME!!

Bug in a Hat

Trying on Daddy's hat on Chadder Bug. Doesn't he just look precious!?! I love his sweet face!

Sweet Smiles

I cant express how many times a day my babies make me smile.
Little things get me.
Their breathing.
The way their eyes sparkle when they look at me.
How Gibson dances to music.
Chad's laugh.
Gibson kissing Chad's head.
The way they smell after bath time.
Watching them with their Daddy.
And so so many more.
I love these boys so much, and even though some days are crazier than others it is a complete blessing to know that each and every day I get to smile knowing they are my little men.
They have opened my eyes up to how good a God I serve. I love that I have been given the opportunity to watch them grow up. It is an absolutely amazing feeling to know the kind of true love a child can bring to your life.
All I can say is that "sweet smiles" brighten my life each and every single day!
I love you Gibson, and Chad!

1 Car Household No Longer...

We are purchasing a second vehicle finally! After a long while of only having the Tahoe we are finally getting a second car once more. I am so delighted to be able to run errands and get out of the house again. Since Gerod's move to Edmond, for his new position with Chase, I have been car-less! When Gerod was just around the corner he could bring me the Tahoe just about any time I needed it, but since December when he moved branches and positions, I haven't been able to use the car during the work week. After some careful consideration we decided on the 2005 Honda Accord Hybrid. We have had a Honda before and they last SO long!! The gas mileage is GREAT, and its my favorite car color (white), with deep tan colored leather seats. I am so thrilled to have a second vehicle once more! It should make life at our house a lot easier!!

Half a YEAR old!!

Chad hit the 6 month mark today!! I am finally making a post on th 17th of the month instead of a week or two (or even three) later!

I cant believe my baby is already half a year old. It has gone by in a serious flash, and truthfully I just dont know where the time has gone? I hope each and every day that maybe time will slow down just a little bit so I can cherish these moments more, but it never happens. With two now it seems that time is going at twice the pace all of the sudden. I really cant believe it!

(we dont go see the doctor for our 6 month appt till the 2nd of Feb, kind of late I know, he has lots of patients and is really behind.)

Anyway... here are the updates:

  • Chad is very active, only taking two naps a day now both consisting of about an hour each

  • He loves his jumper, laying on the floor, rolling over, and watching his big brother

  • He is eating better and so far doesnt have any dislikes when it comes to food except for Green Beans... go figure since Gerod wont eat anything green either.

  • He is pushing himself up using his arms, and once he gets those legs up under himself he will be moving all over the place. Right now he seems to do a lot of rolling/scooting and is getting around the living room some. I have a feeling though that he will be mobile way before Gibson was (at 9 months).

I love this little guy so much, he is just growing up before our eyes!! I keep the camera handy all the time so I can capture as many of these moments on film because I know they are just going to keep passing us by.

Long weekend...

We have had a very long weekend, that is still kind of leaking into the week. Gibson starting having some slight congestion near the end of last week, but it got worse on Friday and on into Saturday. Poor guy is so stopped up and coughing, the works! Its aweful because there really isnt much you can do, and the poor guy doesnt know how to blow his nose so it just makes it all the more unbearable. :(
I think we are on the upside of the sickness now... at least he isnt laying on the floor moaning like he did on Saturday and Sunday.
I hope that he gets to feeling better before Thursday though because I actually get a girls weekend and I am headed to Dallas Thursday late afternoon through late Saturday night. I am going to my annual Rally for Premier, and I couldnt be more excited.
It will be my first weekend leaving Chad, but I am sure I will be fine! Gerod and the boys are going to have a great weekend partying it up like the boys they are. Well not exactly partying, but I think they plan on going out for pizza and possibly hitting up the Home and Garden Show... which I am actually quite jealous of!
Needless to say I hope the weekend for Gerod and the boys is as much fun as my weekend surely will be! :)

Almost 6 months... just a bit behind on this one!

Our little BUG as we call him these days is past 5 months... and nearly 6 months. I actually got this picture pretty close to the 17th of December, but I keep on forgetting to make a post! Chad is getting even bigger... obviously he has overtaken the bear at this point.
At 5 months Chad is LOVING his jumper, and could jump all day if I would let him. He is on the verge of crawling but still hasn't quite figured out the concept. He is still having a bit of trouble with eating from a spoon, he cant get the hang of actually keeping the food in his mouth yet but I know he will figure it out very soon, because as we all know, the boy can eat! He always reaches out for his bottle to try and hold it on his own, and within the next few weeks I plan on introducing the sippy cup. Lately he has been reaching for toys that are out of reach and gets very upset if he cant get to them, which leads me to believe the crawling will happen pretty soon what with his extra strength and all.
We go in for his next doctor visit on the 2nd of Feb which couldn't be further away in my opinion. I want to know how big our little man actually is. :)

Rub a Dub Dub... Two boys in the TUB!

The boys absolutely LOVE their bath time. I am sure once Chad can sit up on his own in the tub Gibson will have a lot more fun with him. Right now I think Gibson just thinks Chad is kind of "in the way". After bath time Gibson is always so silly! He always has the biggest grin on his face and laughs and tries to get away from us before we can get him dressed. We have way too much fun with these boys!
Playing with the new photo software I got for Christmas... I think the picture is too cute... then again I am a little bias to the cuteness of my little Chadder Bug!!
Up here in OKC we are having some serious winter weather. It has been under 20 degrees for the past few days now and it is absolutely BITTER cold!! Wind chills are more than likely making it feel below ZERO! Needless to say we have been holed up inside the house, and still Gibson is getting a bit of a cold, and all of us are a bit stuffy. Hopefully the winter weather will head out before too much longer, but you just never know.

Christmas Vacation...

We had some much fun over the Christmas holiday! We got to see all our family and even some of our good friends that we hadn't seen in a while. There was a lot of driving over the vacation, but it was all absolutely worth it. We left right before Oklahoma got hit with a blizzard, and we were so glad we missed it by a day!

Here are some pictures of the kids over the Christmas vacation.
I of course am a little biased... but I think the boys both look adorable in the Santa hat!!

Gibson got a Lighting McQueen 4 wheeler for Christmas from Santa, and it was an absolute HIT! He loves it and drives it around the house with his legs up in the air as fast as it will go! It is so terribly cute, I will catch it on the camcorder as soon as I get it back from leaving it in Texas!
Chad actually seemed somewhat interested in unwrapping gifts... I didn't think he would care at all. It was precious seeing him react to his new toys. He is already getting so big!
Chad and his second cousin Avery are only 2 weeks apart... Avery is older but Chad definitely outweighs her... heck he outweighs some 1 year olds! I think we have a VERY big boy on our hands. Aren't the two of them just precious? I loved getting to finally meet Avery over Christmas... she is absolutely adorable, and so sweet and cuddly. I wanted to hold her more! And her little velvet skirt was too cute! :)
Our little family with my Great Grandmother... She is over 90 years old... She is SUCH an amazing woman!!
Another picture with Great Grandmother, along with my sister Jennifer and her son Jaxon, and my brother Steven. My mom mentioned how funny it is that all the little kids are not in the best of moods at this point in the visit. If they are even looking at the camera then they aren't happy about it. hahaha... and I love Jaxon's face... he looks like we were FORCING him to smile. :)
Chadder Bug during his bath in the sink... (I got a photo shop over Christmas and I have loved trying it out!)
Another bath time picture of my precious little Bug!
If everything else we got for Christmas wasn't enough... Gerod (my wonderful hubby) got me a trip to NYC then a 7 day cruise of the Easter Caribbean!!! So excited about that!!
After getting back from Christmas Gerod and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary! Can you believe we have already been married for 5 years? We went out on a date... kid free thanks to our amazing baby sitter... to Carinos for dinner and then a movie. The movie was not as good as I expected (Invictus), we just couldn't get into it. So when we came home we threw on some pjs and curled up on the couch with a glass of wine and watched Gran Torino... AWESOME movie, minus some of the language. Needless to say it was a great anniversary with my amazing husband!!
Needless to say we had a wonderful holiday! I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year... ours was wonderful!
