Sneak Peek!

Here is a sneak peek of some of the fabric we have chosen for our custom made bedding (by my grandmother). The kind of khaki color is actually more of a lime green and the turquoise is much brighter... but you get the idea. I plan on ordering the fabric tonight, just as soon as the "designer" (a.k.a. grandma) gets back to me on how much we need. We also plan on throwing one or two solid colors in, more than likely a matching green, and a chocolate brown. We aren't quite sure how we will be painting just yet, but I am sure we will figure out paint colors sometime in the near future. We also picked out the bed and furniture... but I wont post pictures of those until we have them in our home! ;) I am so excited to finally be getting things underway!!!

Chad's New Wardrobe!

I have been occasionally buying a few new things for Chad, even though he will most likely borrow most of Gibson's old things (that have for the most part been worn once or twice only). I want him to have a little bit of his "own" wardrobe though, and these are a few of the cute things I have found so far...
An absolutely adorable surf board cotton tank-onesie
I love the swim trunks and teeny tiny sandals!
... and how precious are these shoes?...
And four cute short/onesie's that will be just perfect for summer!

Lazy Sunday...

Gibson is unfortunately still sick. We took a trip last night to the after hours clinic in our area, because Gibson was throwing up all day, and we were concerned that he may become dehydrated. They tested him for strep and the flu, but he tested negative for both thank goodness. They told us it was more than likely just allergies, and a possible stomach bug. They gave him a shot of Phenergan and he passed out, and thankfully got a good nights rest. Today he was a little better than yesterday (he didn't get sick at all so that was a plus), but he was still not his normal happy-go-lucky self. We have his 18 month doctor visit tomorrow afternoon, so maybe they can check him once more to make sure nothing else is wrong. Poor guy fell asleep laying with daddy on the floor this afternoon watching a movie. My sweet sweet boy; I sure hope he gets to feeling better soon.
As for me... I am 22 weeks (and 1 day) along! I feel like I am getting pretty huge pretty quickly, but either way, I am thankful for a healthy pregnancy. Although I am still having some pretty severe allergy issues, they are beginning to slowly subside, and hopefully will be completely gone soon. Officially over half way to meeting our second sweet little man. Gerod and I cant wait! We are still working on nursery decor ideas, but I think we have found some good possibilities on fabric choices, and next weekend we may have to finalize our decisions on the furniture! I feel like we are much further behind than we were with Gibson, but as long as things start rolling soon we should be fine. Keep thinking about Gibson, and my health.... Hopefully we can both be back to normal before too much longer. I think Gerod is ready for a happy healthy family once more. Also we are both anxious to get out in the lovely spring weather with a trip to the zoo or the park. Once we are all better we should be able to get out and about!

3D/4D Ultrasound!!

I finally scheduled my 3D/4D Ultrasound this morning... I have a while to wait because its not till May 9th. I am over excited about this ultrasound because it was so on cue with how Gibson looked when he was born. The pictures they are able to capture and the clarity is amazing.
Thank goodness for awesome technology right?

FLASH BACK
Here are some of my favorite 3D images we got at Gibson's ultrasound way back when!

Mr. Sandman... Bring Me A Dream!

Gibson fell asleep sitting on the couch watching Finding Nemo this morning. He never does this which has me wondering if his heavy sleeping and slight fever means that he is getting sick. Be thinking of my sweet little man. Hopefully he gets back to his normal self soon.

Gibson loves his train...

Gibson got an Alphabet Train from my Aunt Julie for Christmas this past year and it is one of his all time favorite toys! He loves pressing the different letters into the slot and hearing the different songs that go along with each letter. Gerod got a few shots of Gibson playing with his train Sunday afternoon.

Saint Patty's Day!

So last night, in celebration of St. Patrick's Day we went to good ole Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner where I had the most amazing Parmesan Garlic wings! :) Makes me smile just thinking about it. Everyone was wearing their green, and they even had huge pitchers of green beer! I didn't partake in any of the festivities of drinking, but I got an awesome meal out of the deal. When we got our check after finishing the meal I noticed something stamped on our receipt... A Buy 1 get 1 FREE Ice Cream at Marble Slab right next door. Gerod had to inform me that the owner of this particular BWW is also the owner of Marble Slab... hence the coupon! I was craving ice cream anyway so this gave us the perfect excuse!
We went next door and got in line... my mouth was pretty much salivating at this point (I haven't had Marble Slab in quite a while). I ordered my "usual" Sweet Cream Ice Cream with fresh blueberries mixed in. The worker then informs me that they got rid of blueberries and replaced them with blackberries!!! Distraught at this shocker... I had to stand there like a little kid that cant make up their mind and try to figure out something else to get since I was set on getting my dessert. I settled on sweet cream with strawberries, but it just wasn't the same. Who would get rid of blueberries only to replace them with blackberries, which I might add, that I loathe!
My husband trying to be the nice guy he is said he would talk to the owner and tell him how upset I was at the change that I hadn't been informed of until now. Too cute, even though I know that if he does talk to him it wont make a difference, but still sweet none the less.

Either way we had a great St. Patty's Day! Too bad I didn't get any pics of my sweet little man in his cute green t-shirt!

20 weeks... Half way there!

I feel like I look huge already! I am 20 weeks and 2 days in this picture... so I am officially over half way there! Can you believe it? I have been feeling kicks for a while now, but Gerod was finally able to feel it right before our plane took off from Vegas back to OKC. He loves being able to feel the baby move, I am sure it makes it that much more real for him.
We are still working on thoughts for the nursery and I will be making a stop at a really nice fabric store sometime this week to get some more ideas. However thanks to Sarah I have found a ton of ideas off of the HGTV website under the Rate My Space section. Thanks Sarah! I have already saved quite a few pictures to the computer of things I might like to do for Chad's nursery.

Vegas Baby!

We had an amazing time in Vegas over the weekend... Since neither Gerod or I had ever been it was fun getting to see everything for the first time together.
We left the airport in a limo to ride down to the strip and our hotel...This was our hotel... The Imperial Palace or as we called it "IP" or the "Blue Monster"
Gerod and I in front of a small waterfall in front of the Venetian Hotel our first night.
I just thought this statue was too funny...
It was inside the Harrah's Casino and Hotel

Downtown Vegas; Gerod in front of Binions
About to go to dinner downtown at an amazing restaurant called Hugo's Cellar in the Four Queens hotel, if you ever get a chance to go to Vegas you should check out this amazing restaurant. They had awesome service, and even better food. Plus they give each woman a rose upon entering! We decided to take a quick pic in front of the Longhorn Car.

The Forum Shops were one of my favorite shopping spots in Vegas... Although we didn't leave with a Rolex and a Louis, we at least walked away with a new Fossil and Coach!
I think I found my new favorite dessert... Tiramisu Gelato at the Forum Shops
Gerod with the Lego people in FAO SchwartzTrue Gerod... thanks for the great picture babe!
Me and the belly in front of Bally's and Paris Hotels
Gerod and I in front of one of the many statues of Cesar's

I bought a cute onesie for Gibson and a blanket for Chad

The beautiful Belagio Fountains and water show. This show was so pretty to watch! I wish I could have filmed some of it.
Gerod and I in front of the Belagio on our last night in Vegas. After this we went to a Cirque De Solie show called Mystere and it was absolutely amazing! The acts were unbelievable!!
All in all we had a great time with great friends in Las Vegas and we cant wait to get back for another trip! Maybe next time I will be able to have a cocktail or two... but even without one we had a wonderful trip. Next time will be just as much fun I am sure!

I love mornings...

Because this is what I get to wake up to... Gibson is always in such a good mood when he wakes up in the mornings and usually talks to himself until I come in to get him. He is just like his daddy being a morning person because mommy is definitely NOT a morning person, but boy does that contagious smile brighten my day and make me feel all better.

I love this little man SO much!

BABY NEWS:
I went to the doctor today and everything went well... I am measuring right on, and baby Chad's heartbeat was 145. Everything is looking good, and other than some terrible allergies I am doing great!

Also... we are headed to VEGAS tomorrow afternoon, a first time trip for both Gerod and I! We are so excited to be taking this mini-vacation with two of our amazing friends! Not sure all the plans quite yet, but we will obviously do a bit of gambling, enjoy a show, have a beautiful night out to a great restaurant, and see many sights! I cant wait to post all the pictures I take... I have vowed to myself to take lots of pictures since I usually forget! We will see what happens... :)

I can't decide what to do?!?

I have been looking online for nursery ideas since we found out we will be welcoming our second little man. I have NO CLUE how to do the nursery this time around. For those of you who have never seen Gibson's room, here are some pictures.

I am tired of blue, so I am pretty for sure I want to have green be the main color, but Gerod really has his heart set on Chocolate Brown, and Aqua or Light Blue. Who knows... but either way we will have my grandmother make the bedding and accessories again because she did such an amazing job the first time.

I guess I will be looking at fabric stores until something just POPS out at me! Once I make some decisions I will post previews of what the room might look like.
